Reward board

So I have been putting this off for WAY TOO LONG.  I bought a reward board and my DH put it up and it has been sitting on the wall blank for weeks.  I have so many ideas of what I want to put on this reward board for my kids.  I guess my worry is that I will put it all together and either have a better idea (doesn't happen very often) or I will put it together and it will not work at all with our kids.

Basically I want my children to behave as the little angels I know that they have in there somewhere.  But they have proven to me in the past few weeks that I need to change something if I want them to be the little angels that I know that they have the potential to be.  So now I am scrolling through sites to get ideas on how to set this up.  I have a few things (behaviors) that I want my 5 year old daughter to work on:

♥Being nice to younger brother
♥Not interrupting when others talk
♥saying thank you on her own
♥helping out with chores on her own
♥memorizing her address and my cell #

My little man has a little more to work on
♥potty training (okay, this is itself needs its own chart)
♥not whining so much
♥being nice to his sister
♥listening to mommy and daddy
♥staying in bed

Okay...so how do I get all of this on there?

Do I do it per day
♦ or ♦
reward when they do it ten times?

Off to brainstorm!

Idea for my peeps...

I was looking around this evening on a sugar crash from all of the food and treats I had today and came across this little gem:

from http://www.cheekykitchen.com/2011/03/tuxedo-peps.html

So cute!  Now if only I could keep my husband from eating all of them before I can make some of these.  Then again....that would mean I would eat all of these cute little guys.  Oh what to do!!!

Peeps anyone?

As we end our Lenten season, let us give thanks for all that we have and have the ability to change the things we can.  I am blessed to be part of a loving family with a wonderful husband and two great kids.  May your Easter holiday be filled with family, friends, and joy.  As I head to my parents house, I am excited to spend time with loved ones and see the happiness that the Easter bunny brings to my little ones.

I tried not to go overboard on their baskets, but I did as I tend to every year.  I was hoping to not have so many treats, but the toys and games add up.  All of a sudden it seems like Christmas all over again.

We currently have SEVEN packages of PEEPS on my kitchen counter.  Any takers?

Appreciation photos

I love that some of my etsy customers have taken the time to send a photo of their finished Grace Warren Design items.  I was tickled that these turned out so great!  Check out this wine label that has been a hot seller recently and how cool it looks on the bottle

These are from a different customer who ordered custom kiss stickers for a shower she was hosting.  Love it!

Enjoy your day!

Easter

I am all about getting things ready for any holiday.  I am struggling a bit this year with not wanting to fill all of the eggs for the easter egg hunt with candy.  It seems that for every single holiday known, my little ones end up with enough candy for a village full of kids.  Now, we certainly allow them to have some, but the rest ends up on top of the fridge for mommy and daddy.  So what is the big deal?  About 5 pounds per holiday I am averaging for weight gain because the candy calls to me ever so quietly at first....and then turns to an all out scream by day two and I give in.  I try to take some to work, but working in an environment where we are preaching a healthy lifestyle it doesn't seem to be welcomed there either.  (It actually does get eaten at work by my co-workers, but I hate the guilt I have when it is in my home and I then just pass that guilt onto my friends at work).

That being said, I do love decorating and getting little items ready for Easter.  I created these little guys to fit onto the bottoms of Hershey kisses, peanut butter cups, or rolos.

and this set is great, too

Now if I could just find the plastics eggs I bought last year to do our egg hunt for Easter morning...

Enjoy your Easter!
